SCFC Calls for a Trump Agenda SC Budget

First things first. Cut taxes. Cut Spending.

Next Monday, we begin the process of passing our annual budget. This year’s spending will increase from last year by 10%+ with only a .1% tax cut. The South Carolina Freedom Caucus believes House Leadership should focus on 3 things with the budget: cut spending, cut taxes, and implement the Trump agenda in how we spend our money. We will be offering an alternative budget that accomplishes all 3 of these goals.

1. Focus spending on law enforcement, roads & bridges, education, and courts

2. Cut nonessential government agencies, departments, and commissions

3. Freeze all other increases in spending except for roads, law enforcement, education, and courts

4. Ensure South Carolina tax dollars will not be spent on woke projects, incentivizing illegal immigrants to move here, or on abortions.

5. Strengthen language through provisos to fully protect individual liberties like the 2nd amendment, parental rights, and medical freedom

6. Make South Carolina’s government and elected officials accountable to the people they serve

The South Carolina Freedom Caucus has multiple provisos and amendments to accomplish each of these key points. Much of the language is directly borrowed from President Trump’s agenda. We plan on proposing these conservative initiatives while also making attempts to significantly slash our state budget and tax rates.

Next week, members of the South Carolina Freedom Caucus will make good on every campaign promise they made to their constituents by fighting to implement each core platform item they supported this last election cycle. This is the leadership necessary to move South Carolina from the most liberal red state in the country to the front of the pack in leading conservative reforms throughout the country.

We need you to call your legislator and tell them to support us as we attempt to drastically change South Carolina for the better next week. Specifically, tell your Representative to support our provisos and amendments that cut the budget, decrease taxes, and implement the Trump Agenda in the Palmetto State.
