SCFC Fights Federal Funding For Illegal Immigrants
This morning, the South Carolina Freedom Caucus sent a letter to Governor Henry McMaster, encouraging him to use his authority under state law to reject any federal funding that will be used to provide taxpayer subsidized benefits for illegal immigrants in next year’s budget.
As Election Day draws closer, it is abundantly clear that the invasion which has taken place at our Southern border has been subsidized by the failed Biden administration. This invasion has placed all of our communities in direct danger and has also called into question the sanctity of our elections due to the threat of non-citizens voting. Today, September 17th, is national Voter Registration Day, as well as Constitution Day. There is no better day for Republicans in South Carolina to proactively take a stand to defend our communities and to call on Congress to defend our electoral process.
We urge all grassroots conservatives to call your elected officials and urge them to publicly support rejecting these federal funds and to support conservatives in Congress in passing the SAVE Act which would strengthen the protections surrounding our federal elections. Share this link with your State Senator and State Representative and ask them to sign the petition in support of protecting our elections against non citizen voting!

“We write with grave concern over the news emerging from the small communities of Springfield, Ohio, and Sylacauga, Alabama. Over the past four years, the Biden-Harris administration has coordinated with NGO’s to place over 100,000 Haitian migrants in these and other American communities under “temporary protected status.” However, these migrants are unvetted and there is no end in sight for their temporary status living in this country.
Today, we are respectfully urging you to refuse any federal grants that would be used to resettle migrants in South Carolina. You have the power to refuse any federal funds that are not mandated by statute, and we ask you to exercise that power. Our constituents are concerned about the strain that these resettlement programs place on our social services, and the safety of their communities when it comes to people who have not been vetted for criminal backgrounds, and cannot be vetted given the failed states from which they are coming to live here.
We know that these communities are not alone. In Biden’s America, every town is now a border town. Migrants both legal and illegal are being moved throughout the nation by the federal government. The Biden Administration has also pushed forward a “Humanitarian Parole Program” that allowed 30,000 migrants per month to come in from Cuba, Haiti, Venezuela, and Nicaragua. While some of these migrants have criminal backgrounds, nearly all are dependent on taxpayer funded programs. The program was paused after more than 100,000 cases of fraud were discovered in the first few months.
This program was restarted a few days ago. This is a live issue that places South Carolinians at risk.

The SAVE Act does the opposite of what you believe. It makes US Citizens of the children of the illegal aliens who breached our borders. And it imposes significant burdens on American women whose married name is different from the name on their birth certificate.
You must READ and UNDERSTAND legislation before you support it. American Conservatives don't do that - that is why they fall for the dirty tricks over & over again.
Y'all, I support everything you do, but you missed the mark on this issue. You are acting like a doctor that treats the symptoms of the illness instead of the cause. There's no need to worry about the illegals voting (or stealing, raping, killing, etc.) if you keep them out to begin with. They have broken the law by invading our sovereign border. Find them, round them up, then ship them to the Washington swamp. Where's the legislation for that?
