Send a message: Save SC Libraries
Elected officials, grassroots organizations, and concerned parents across the state have signed our coalition letter, and so should you!
We wrote last week about the recent election of self-proclaimed “lesbian Marxist” Emily Drabinksi as President of the American Library Association. We detailed some of her public positions on how and what libraries should strive to achieve, such as exposing kids to both the “radical library catalog” and the “queer library catalog”. After receiving this information, we publicly called on the South Carolina Library Association to leave the American Library Association. The SC Freedom Caucus did this both through a public statement on Twitter and a private letter sent to the president of the SCLA.
SCLA has to this point not severed any ties with the America Library Association, neither have they publicly criticized the radical viewpoints espoused by the ALA’s new President.
Drabinksi did respond to the pushback she’s receiving from the now 15 states that have called on their Library Associations to leave the ALA, doubling down on her radical Leftist intentions for our kids (Read More Here).
Below, you will find a link to a Google form that you can use to sign a coalition letter crafted by several conservative groups, including the legislators of the SC Freedom Caucus. We are thankful to Congressman Jeff Duncan, South Carolina Moms for Liberty, the State Freedom Caucus Network and many others for joining together on this very important issue. You can find the full text of the coalition letter in the link below.
If you oppose indoctrination and obscene pornographic materials in our schools and libraries, please sign the coalition letter. Let’s show the country South Carolina children are not for sale!
Here is the link to the coalition letter. We would be thrilled if you joined our members as well as other elected officials and grassroots organizations in signing!
Sincerely,
The South Carolina Freedom Caucus
