Thank God for the SC Freedom Caucus. There is a real need for some logic, common sense and conservatism in Columbia. Every year the "Republican" majority moves more towards the socialist left. More and more appointments by the GOP legislature, and by supposed Republican Governor Henry McMaster, are given away to Uni-party butt kissers, instead of benefitting the cause of conservatism. As even our chosen legislation is compromised with/by the leftists, laws passed do nothing to protect our freedom and liberties or ease the financial burden on taxpayers. I realize that the Freedom Caucus is limited in their effectiveness by their small number, but it is imperative that you fight every issue which adversely affects our conservative majority of voters. Keep fighting, we have your back.
Unbelievable! Why are Republicans behaving like this when they have a clear majority in the House and Senate? Drew McKissick should be ashamed and calling out GOP leadership in our SC congress. Never rest on your laurels in politics! One can be absolutely certain that Democrats are NOT!
And with respect to our electricity, why are Santee Cooper and Berkeley Coop raising costs to their customers after years of pushing solar farms and solar roofs, and shutting down coal fired plants and nuclear? Solar is land gobbling, intermittent and short lived. The disposal of toxic solar panels has not been thought through and will be a future huge burden on SC taxpayers. Gas, coal and nuclear provide a constant source of electricity with little complications on our grid. Solar is the extreme opposite with complex grid tie ins and, again, interriment electricity (nighttime, clouds, rain, pollen etc) and easily destroyed by hail and high winds (we have the odd hurricane in our state?).
